Agawam vs. westfield
In a rematch of the Spring 2025 finals, Agawam got their revenge by beating Westfield 4-0. Gabriel Fontaine opened the scoring in the first half to put Agawam up 1-0. Westfield came out strong in the 2nd half, but gave up a penalty in the box, resulting in an Easton Arnold goal from the spot. By the time the final whistle blew, Cameron Neilson had picked up 2 more to make it 4-0. And while our offense was firing on all cylinders, an immense amount of credit needs to be given to our midfield and defense for keeping a lot of pressure off of replacement goalkeeper Ethan Lemarier. Ethan picks up his first clean sheet of the season for Agawam with a solid showing. It’d also be remiss not to mention the contributions from newly acquired Ayden Gay and Dominic Serra. Ayden picked up his first assist of the season and Dominic became an immediate anchor in the backline. Next week we host Easthampton for what will certainly be a tough game.
